Lorde, Kendrick Lamar e Jay-Z guidano le nomination dei Grammy 2018

Si torna a parlare di premi importanti e non si può che pensare ai Grammy: la National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences ha svelato nella giornata del 28 novembre le nomination dei Grammy Awards 2018. Come sempre le nomination tengono conto di un periodo specifico, in questo caso di dischi e singoli usciti dal 1 ottobre 2016 al 30 settembre 2017.

La categoria ritenuta più prestigiosa, quella di Album of the Year, vede in gara Kendrick Lamar con DAMN., Jay-Z con 4:44, Lorde con Melodrama, Childish Gambino con Awaken, My Love! e Bruno Mars con 24K Magic. Nella categoria di migliore performance rock sono stati inseriti due dei cantanti che abbiamo perso quest’anno: Chris Cornell con The Promise e Leonard Cohen con You Want It Darker, per un probabile riconoscimento postumo.

Essendoci tantissime categorie è impossibile fare un riassunto rapido, in ogni caso non sono mancate le polemiche: per Despacito come miglior canzone dell’anno, per l’assenza di Harry Styles da qualsivoglia categoria, e anche per la nomination di Bruno Mars a miglior disco.
